Every city has tales of haunted houses and paranormal activities. One block west of Donald Street, a supposedly “Haunted” building that has been the source of several urban legends is being demolished after being abandoned for several years. Nicknamed “Demon Hotel” by people living in the downtown area, the old apartment building has been the subject of many bizarre stories.
I’ve seen references to it in several local blogs, particularly from contributor Markosun News,

As well someone has made an entire blog devoted to the subject of paranormal activities happening there. That blog contains posts about alleged ghostly sightings, including phantom graffiti and a mysterious “Cat Lady” who prowls the site.

More recently a so-called “Urban Explorer” actually took pix inside the old building. Looking like something from “Grave Encounters 2”, you can see them on the DSC http://thedonaldstreetcollective.weebly.com/blog/urban-exploration-45-hargrave-street
With the destruction of Demon Hotel, the downtown loses another interesting location, however, the Demon Hotel Blog http://demonhotelofhargrave.blogspot.ca/ raises the question of what will happen when the demons are forced out of their lodgings? This summer might find many homeless ghosts looking for new places to haunt among the other run down apartment blocks between Donald and Kennedy Streets.
